The potential field methods, such as magnetic and gravimetric surveys, were added to the existing set of geophysical surveys for oil and gas prospecting in Ukraine by NADRA GROUP in 2011. In order to integrate volumetric seismic prospecting with these methods, the company established a gravity and magnetics crew. The GROUP also procured modern equipment, such as the CG-5 AutoGrav gravimeter from Scintrex (Canada), to enable high-precision gravimetric studies in multiple areas of the Eastern region of Ukraine.
In addition to seismic surveys, "potential field" methods have provided more in-depth information on the geological structure of oil and gas fields.
NADRA GROUP has completed over 1,000 sq. km of gravity and magnetic exploration.
