Nadra Data Processing Center, JSC
The company is designed as a modern geologic and geophysical data processing and interpretation center. The Nadra Data Processing Center for geologic and geophysical survey data was established on August 1, 2001. The Center was the first company in Ukraine to design a spatial geologic model of the hydrocarbon field found in a complicated tectonic environment of a salt dome. To obtain reliable results, the Center applied a full-waveform seismologic data modeling and spatial seismic migration data analysis followed by the data summarizing procedure. An important step forward in the process was the idea to use the spatial pre-stack subsurface migration model for the seismic data processing and to work out high-quality geologic models for the complicated tectonic zones and salt-dome tectonic zones characterized by significantly curved marking borderlines.
Therefore, it was for the first time in Ukraine that the spatial and digital geologic models of the hydrocarbon deposits were worked out and the existing rock structures were identified much more precisely than before, and the absolutely new geologic information was obtained.
At the same time, the Nadra Data Processing Center takes active steps to implant into the regular set of geologic survey practices the methods to forecast reservoir capacity in the specific geologic environment. This objective is attained using an unparalleled technology of multi-factor analysis of the geologic and geophysical survey data. It is important to note that the analysis involves not only the seismic survey and borehole logging data, but also the integrated data produced by the gravimetric and magnetic exploration service, remote surveys etc. This kind of approach gives the means to enrich the spatial geologic models of hydrocarbon deposits with the data relating to the real rock composition. Analysts build up diagrams of spatial distribution of the filtration and emission features of the rock formation and secure high degrees of the model reliability, thereby establishing a basis for hydrodynamic models of the deposit being developed.
The modern and the best-in-the-country geologic and geophysical data processing and interpretation Center is adequately equipped with the modern computer hardware and certified software tools that are updated on a regular basis. The Center staff members persistently improve their skills, participate in the professional conferences and publish research materials. The PrJSC Nadra Data Processing Center, cooperating on a contractual basis with production companies, takes active steps to establish and maintain modern databanks of geologic, geophysical and production-related data. Total volume of data incoming to the PrJSC Nadra Data Processing Center is estimated at dozens terabytes per year. The Center is very effective in solving the issues of informational and parametric support of the seismic survey data processing and interpretation process and the hydrocarbon reserves calculation process; and it runs research projects to study complicated rock cross-sections in wells, including carbonate rocks, crystalline foundation rocks, thin-layer terrigenous sediments etc.
