The Private Joint-stock Nadra Logging Company is a single of that kind service organization in Ukraine that applies special and modern survey methods, including inclination metering technology, multi-component sonic surveys, gyroscopic inclinometer systems etc.
The PrJS Nadra Logging Company has contributed to the exploration of the Northern Korobchin, Aksiutiv and Olyvyniv Petroleum Fields.
The modern technologies the Company applies to survey and assess complicated reservoir formations (low-resistant, fractured structures etc.) and modern geophysical equipment (AMAK-2 multi-probe sonic waveform logging system, NP-6 inclinometer, multi-probe radioactivity logging system etc.) have given the means to explore new oil and gas pools within the Sothern Shevchenkivsky, Maksalsky, Sakhalinsky, Northern Volvenkivsky fields and a few other fields.
The fact that the PrJS Nadra Logging Company, being a leading production company, has always been well equipped with modern integrated digital survey systems ensured an excellent competitive position for the Company on the foreign markets.
As things now stand, the Company has enough capacity to solve virtually any problem of geophysical survey process in boreholes up to 6000 m deep in the environments where temperatures come up to 2000C and pressure levels up to 120 MPa. Every piece of geophysical equipment applied by the Company is duly certified, supported by valid metrological data and reliable in operation. For the period from 2001 to 2010 the Company has explored more than 150 deep wells. Commercial hydrocarbon outputs were registered for more than 350 worksites that the Company has recommended for drilling operations based on the geologic and geophysical survey services completed prior to the test procedures. The reliability of the recommendations made by the Company is estimated at 98%.

As the available stock of hydrocarbon producing wells is exposed to the natural aging process, the production process requires modern, accurate and high-quality systems for the well diagnostics and capital repair projects to maintain them in operation. The PrJS Nadra Logging Company is a single organization in Ukraine that holds a set of equipment for quality control of the technical condition of production wells (including the equipment made by the UK-based Sondex Company) that is applied by the leading global companies such as Halliburton, Schlumberger, Weatherford etc.
Among the direct survey methods applied by the Company, it may be worth mentioning the borehole bed testing method and cable bed logging systems (VPT and VPK, respectively). There is a special designated division in the Company called the Hydro-gas-dynamics Division that is responsible for the design and implementation in production of new methods to assess drainable hydrocarbon reserves and identify key commercial-and-production parameters of the target oil and gas fields. The Company can apply multi-cycle borehole bed testing (VPT) procedure using single-packer and double-packer systems.
The Company performs shooting seismic works using both cable logging systems and drill pipe systems – these are NKT (PNKT) technologies. The PrJS Nadra Logging Company also operates high-capacity perforation systems made by Halliburton. Its Geotechnical Survey Party is equipped with digital stations with geologic cabins designed for fast assessment of the geologic cross-section petroleum production potential in the drilling process. The Company is a single organization of that kind in Ukraine that offers a full set of geophysical survey services for horizontal wells. This fact was the reason for the Company being selected an exclusive project implementation organization for the well surveys within the shelf areas of the Black Sea and Azov Sea.
The great experience and top professional skills of the Company personnel may be proved by the fact that the perforation and blasting operations (PVR) on Well #101 “Stepova” (within the intervals of 4849 – 4855 m and 4876 – 4879 m) performed by the Company resulted in a commercial inflow of gas, whilst it should be mentioned that the same intervals had been repeatedly (up to five times) perforated by other service companies, and no gas inflows were obtained.
In 2006 the Company implemented a new type of survey technology, namely the hydrocarbon inflow stimulation control system that is designed to ensure total control of every operation in the well and register every change in the production characteristics of the target reservoir formation in the output stimulation process. Such projects were implemented on contracts with OJSC UkrNafta.
The Company also owns necessary geophysical equipment and systems for survey services in ore/ coal wells and other small-diameter wells.
